Greater Tel-Aviv - "Ayalon" Main Sewage

General Background
The main conveyance sewerage system is owned by the Dan Region Association of Towns (sewage),

serving a population of 2.0 million from greater Tel-Aviv area. igudan_023

This system, presently under construction,

designed to operate under various hydraulic scenarios

and operation regimes is of a major importance

to the Dan Region Association of Towns sewage system.

BJIS provided the general design, engineering coordination

and the detailed designs.

BJIS provides the general supervision on site.

Basic Design Data

Main collector, 1,600mm diameter, 7,500m long laid by pipe jacking methods along the Ayalon highway at varied depths of 6m to 26m, designed for a maximum flow of 10,500 m³/hour.
Ayalon pumping station including 6 pumps having a duty point of:
Flow: 10,500 m³/hour Head: 62 m.
Discharge pipes: 1,000mm dia. 4,500 m long and 1,200mm dia. 4,500m long.

Tiberias - Southern Jordan Pipe Line

General Background
The pipes strip, stretching from Tiberias to the Southern Jordan River, accommodates raw sewage pipelines and saline water pipelines, operated by Mekorot - Israel Water Co. BJIS provides general and detailed design services. The firm has also been assigned for the acquirement of statutory permits. BJIS provides general supervision at site.

Basic Design Data

Main sewage pumping station of Tiberias, including 6 pumps of a future duty point of: Flow: 2,100 m³/hr Head: 55m
Sewage main discharge pipe, 710mm dia., 8,200m long
Concentrated saline pipe line, 710mm dia., 8,200m long
Saline spring water pipe line, 1,200mm dia., 8,200m long.

Hod Hasharon - Zir Hanesiym Drainage Conduit

General Background
The main rectangular conduit was built in 2006 by Hod Hasharon municipality.It is the main part of the east of Hod Hasharon main drainage system.
BJ-IS provided the general and detailed design, and the general supervision on the site.

Basic Design Data

The drainage basin of the project is 2.5Sq. Kilometers, and the maximum flow is 64,000m³/hr, which fits to 2% storm probability.
The first stage of the project was building a 2Km long conduit at varied depths of 4-7m underground, with inside dimensions of 3x1.75 and 2.5x1.75m
The conduit's elements were made of prefabricated concrete, 2.5m long and 17ton each.
Stage two of the project will contain conduit parts of 2x1.75m in dimensions, along 1.5km.
