The plant serves the municipalities of Qyriat Shemona, Metula and several rural villages of Upper Galilee regional council, having equivalent population of 50,000.
The plant was built in 2000.
The plant consists of semi-intensive facilities, i.e. a combination of anaerobic and aerated earth lagoons.
BJIS provided general design and complete detailed design services as well as general supervision of construction.
