General Background


Ein Bokek W.W.T.P serves all the hotels and the touristic facilities along the Dead-Sea areas of Ein-Bokek, Hamey-Zohar and Neve-Zohar as well as Tamar regional council.


The plant was originally built in the early 80's and expanded in the late 90's due to the accelerated construction activities within the touristic zones.


The plant consists of the original module plus two new modules.

A specific challenge here is the very high salinity value of the incoming wastes, due it's proximity to the Dead Sea. The process designed by BJIS successfully meets this challenge. 


The effluents are re-used for public gardening along the streets surrounding the hotels.


BJIS provided general design and complete detailed design services for the original construction and for the expansion.
